The thriller movie is truly among the best Indian movies unfolding the brave life of a tiger hunter rescuing the poor settlers living in a forest from viscious tigers devouring humans.  The story starts with the events that turn a poor boy to become the brave tiger hunter saving human lives and become Pulimurukan. A poor boy lives in wilderness in a forest infested with tigers. During an escape from the from forest guards, the boy, his little infant brother and father runs into a tigers domain. After their futile attempt to flee from the tiger, the father has to sacrifice his life and become prey to the tiger for saving the lives of his little children. The poor boy pledges to kill the tiger that took the life of his father. With ample help and planning with his uncle the poor boy manages to kill the tiger. However, the viscious attacks of the tigers continue to haunt the poor people and the tigers continue to devour them. The brave boy turns to a tiger hunter after mastering techniques to kill the tigers cleverly. He attains the title of Pulimurukan or the brave tiger hunter. The movie is splendid for its excellent cinematography and direction. The fight scenes are also excellent.  It is a different story, plot and theme alike. The unique film has almost no monotonous song, dance and romance scenes. Instead every scene is relevant and shot to enlighten the interplay of the characters. Moreover, there is no villain and fights between people in the movie. Instead in the first part, there is conflict between human being and the animals. This theme is deviation from the stories highlighting the materialistic fights between human beings for power, money or materials. Later, the hero has conflicts with human beings only to assert his rights. Finally, the film ends with a fight between the hero, the villain and a devouring tiger. The hero leaves the villain to be devoured by the tiger and punishes him for his evil deeds. That was the only time the brave hunter left human to be devoured by the tiger and spared the life of the viscious animal. The film is full of noble insights and values emanated by the brave tiger hunter in his eventful life. Truly a splendid film to watch and enjoy…

Marriage and commitment

It is every humans need to love and be loved… We find solace and security through marriage. But marriage and commitment are synonymous. Married couples have to develop and improve their relationships and stay committed. Hence it is essential that while we decide married we are ready for commitment. The flurry of events and the elaborate engross the couples and they have no time to realize the importance of marriage. All the rich wedding ceremonies are practiced to settle the betrothed couples in the lasting institution of marriage. However, if the couples have no clear understanding on commitment these ceremonies are futile. Nowadays, couples are settling down for the marriages of convenience especially while they have careers, friendship and social tie-ups to focus on. While there are plenty of couples to participate in marriage, there are very few to realize the true importance of marriage and patiently involve in the commitment that marriage requires or rather demands. Many couples even avoid marriage and seek solace in live-in relationships. But they forget that it is the need to love and be loved that prompts them to start a relationship. This need is truly actualized only in marriage where in a lasting relationship, couples love each other, bond together, live together and understand each other absolutely, sharing their joy and sorrow and stay committed to each other. These couples choose partners who they love and decide to spend their large share of lives with. Instead of starting off short term relations, if the couples plan commitment with partners who are willing to be married, they would have a lasting relationship to treasure.

We all have virtues in us to be loved and to love. Thus we can marry but when we are settled with other imposing issues such as health, career, income, and other demands of contemporary living, we need time to consider our priorities and settle in marriage after managing our immediate issues or concerns. Moreover, marriage does not make anyone tame instead it improves our maturity and provides us better perspective to successful living. 

Let us decide to be committed and make a bold decision to get married but only after carefully choosing the right partner. 

Here are few steps that helps us to plan our marriage:

• Consider the qualities, virtues and values that we require in our partners.
• Decide the career role that we prefer in our partners. This helps us to ensure that our partners are not too busy and have adequate time to spare for the relationship.
• Choose partners with interesting career roles and ample income.
• Forget all myths on marriage. Every marriage is different and we have to plan carefully to make it lasting and successful.

          NB:  There is no quick fix to successful marriages

• Ignore the traditional dictates on marriage. They are not meant for you. Moreover, such dictates are not meant for the busy contemporary living where couples are struggling for time, space and resources and traditional dictates are the last thing that they want to cope with.

  We have finally discussed marriage and now we can look forward to a lasting relationship and happy living…

147th Gandhi Jayanti

Birthday Greetings to the Father of our nation...

147 years have passed since God bestowed us with the great soul of peace, Mahatma Gandhi... Even today the stoic leader inspires us with benevolence, virtues and truth. Even in schools children are taught to follow the values of the great leader and inculcate his teachings, values and truth. Every time I pick up a currency, I am struck with realization of the values and lessons imparted by the Mahatma or great soul. In fact Gandhiji is truly the greatest gift God has endowed on a nation. His freedom struggle freed an entire nation from slavery and liberated them to harmonious life. Even today the enigma of the great soul helps us and liberates us from many struggles and constraints. He  sacrificed his life for the glory of his beloved nation, India and its poor people...He is truly an unforgettable figure in the human history.

PM Narendra Modi paid  homage to the great leader at Rajghat. Let us salute the great leader and appreciate the peace and harmony he has rendered to our lives... As he believed we are today a successful nation and blessed human community....Jai Hind..
